About Us

Welcome to The Monday Study –

“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine…” (2 Timothy 4:2,3a)

There is a natural curiosity about the Bible. Even those who regard it as simply a compilation of quaint stories and myths do, never the less, show interest in its teachings.  They have many questions to be sure.  While they remain skeptical, many will listen.  Still others have come to faith in Christ and have a deeper, Spirit inspired hunger to know more about the Bible and how it applies to their day-to-day lives and their future.

It is for these two groups that The Monday Study was developed.  Our mission is to declare the whole counsel of God to any who wish to hear it –preaching and teaching the Word of God that we might convince the doubters, correct error and false doctrine, encourage believers in their faith and provide to everyone an answer for the hope that we have in Christ Jesus.

Our Mission

Our mission is to declare the whole counsel of God to any who wish to hear it –preaching and teaching the Word of God that we might convince the doubters, correct error and false doctrine, encourage believers in their faith and provide to everyone an answer for the hope that we have in Christ Jesus.

What We Are

We are a gathering of believers and seekers whose primary goal is to study the Bible and grow in our faith.

We are a resource to the disciple seeking to grow in their faith and knowledge of the Lord through study and understanding of the scriptures.

We are a help to the local churches and pastors who teach the Bible as it is, the Word of God.

We are a place for believers to gather for fellowship and study without worry of offending their pastor of church family.

We are a neutral place where those who don’t yet know the Lord can find the truth in scripture and develop saving faith.

We support and promote the local churches that teach the Word of God in truth.

We support the Christian community with materials, articles, audio and video presentations to answer questions and teach sound doctrine.

What We Are Not

The Monday Study was so named because we meet on Mondays.  We do so because Monday rarely interferes with any local church functions.

We are not a local church.  And, we do not replace the local church.  Indeed, our great hope and desire is to support all Bible-centered churches.

We do not receive tithes.  Tithes are paid to the home church of every believer.

We do not have members.

We do not promote one Bible-believing church or denomination over another.

What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God. Therefore, we promote the study and teaching of the Bible and emphasize careful exposition that we may present the whole counsel of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Christ, in His Virgin Birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential, and that repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a saving relationship with God.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life; we further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the ministry of the local church, in the assembling of ourselves together for fellowship, teaching and worship.  Therefore, we encourage all believers to attend and support a Bible-believing church in their local community.
